Jon Vasey Obtains No Fault Verdict for Insurance Defense Client in Jury Trial

On March 8, 2019, a Dallas County jury returned a defense verdict for Jon Vasey's client after a four-day jury trial. The case arose from a motor vehicle accident in West Des Moines, Iowa. The Plaintiff claimed she suffered permanent and disabling injuries in the accident and asked the jury to award her between $600,000.00 and $700,000.00. Mr. Vasey disputed this figure and asked the jury to find his client was not at fault for the accident. Both sides presented expert testimony for the jury to consider.
After less than three hours of deliberation, the jury returned a verdict for the defense, finding Mr. Vasey's client was not at fault. Costs of the action were assessed to the Plaintiff.
